I am a doctoral candidate in Economics at Uppsala University. My recent work focuses on how family factors affect fertility decisions. 

In my job market paper, I show that the family background and intra-household dynamics are important factors behind fertility decisions. Based on rich Swedish administrative data, I demonstrate that differences in partners’ family fertility norms - measured with fertility outcomes of extended kin - play a crucial role in determining household fertility, and the relative family influence of partners depends on the distribution of bargaining power within the household.
